Setting up Domain Parking

Domain Parking displays a 'Parking' page for your newly registered domain name when someone browses to it. You can use this to display a customized message, which is better than a cryptic "server not found" error.

NOTE: You must be using our DNS servers to use this service.

Setup Domain Parking by following these steps:
  1. Click on the Login button on the GetYourChurchDomain.com home page and login using your account information.

  2. Click on the "domain names" > "my domains" in the left navigation menu.

  3. Click on the domain name that you wish to configure, listed on the MY DOMAINS screen.

  4. Scroll down to the section titled "Parking Settings", and click on the PARK DOMAIN button.

  5. You will see your DNS settings change to point to the parking page. When you are ready to unpark your domain name, just change the DNS settings to match your website host's information (if you have a ForMinistry website, just follow the instructions on the DNS settings page or contact support@getyourchurchdomain.com and we can take care of it for you).

  6. Browse to your domain name to see it in action! Your parking page will look something like this example.

Are the terms "parking", "under construction", and "welcome" page the same thing?
Yes, these terms mean the same thing. At GetYourChurchDomain, we use the term "parking".
