Registering a new domain name

Register a domain name for your church or ministry at GetYourChurchDomain, the authorized partner of ForMinistry. (Note: Payment is only currently available via online by credit card: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. Unfortunately, we cannot process payments by check or money order.)

To register a new domain name, follow these steps:
  1. Click on the Login button to login to GetYourChurchDomain.com using your account information. If you don't have login information, please create a new account first.


  2. Enter the domain name you'd like to try to register in the box labeled "check a name" on the upper left of your screen. Click the GO button to proceed.

    • Domain names are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
    • Read some tips for selecting a domain name.
    • Some organizations purchase all 3 of the popular domain endings (.com, .org, and .net) to prevent others from misuse.

  3. Your screen will display search results, listing what domain names are available. Check the one(s) you'd like to register, or go back to step #2 above and try a different domain name.

  4. Click on the ADD TO CART button, in order to add the domain name(s) to your shopping cart.


  5. Review your options for: auto-renew, number of years to register, added options. Click on UPDATE CART if you make any changes from the default settings.


  6. Then click on the CHECKOUT button to proceed.


    • If you don't have a credit card on file in your account information, you will get an error message. Please click through to enter credit card information.
    • The system will automatically validate your credit card information when you submit it.

  7. Click on the PURCHASE button to complete your domain registration. All purchases are final, so be sure there are no typos or misspellings.


  8. Congratulations! You've registered your domain name(s)!
