Check your DNS Host Settings

If you're not able to receive or send emails using your Email Pak, you may have misconfigured DNS host settings. Having the correct DNS host settings for your domain name mail servers is critical for proper operations.

Usually the system automatically sets the proper default settings, but on the rare occasion when your email accounts are not working, follow these steps to restore operations. Normally, you should not be changing these settings.

This only applies to the Email Pak service (POP3 email accounts), not the email forwarding aliases' service!

To check your DNS host settings are properly setup for use with Email Pak, please follow these steps:
  1. Click on the Login Now link on the GetYourChurchDomain.com home page and login using your account information.

  2. Click on the "domain names" > "my domains" in the left navigation menu.

  3. Click on the domain name that you wish to configure, listed on the MY DOMAINS screen.

  4. Scroll down to the section labeled "Email Settings". The current service should say: POP3 Email / Webmail.
    • If the current service indicated is not POP3 Email / Webmail, then you may need to purchase an Email Pak first.
    • If you had already purchased an Email Pak, use the CHANGE SERVICE button to select POP3 Email as your current service.

  5. Scroll up to the section labeled "DNS Settings." In this section, confirm that the current host settings look similar to this example:
    • You may have other entries for host name, but the 4 listed above are used for Email Pak functionality.
    • The entries under "Address" may have its first part as mail-01, mail-02, mail-03, or mail-04, depending on the assignment given to your domain name. Simply confirm that the format is correct.
    • To make corrections, click on the CONFIGURE button, and enter the corresponding information. And SAVE CHANGES when done.

  6. You may need to allow 24-48 hours for DNS propagation, if mail server changes and response do not immediately happen in your locality.
